This is a great comment, "dubbed the fastest car in the county." Jim said the limiting factor was the Ford clutch and pressure plate. They considered a multi disc clutch but heavier pressure plates became available. Evidently the Offy was a torque beast.

Everyone works
This is Joy Cannon torqueing the lug nuts. She was a trooper for putting up with the Cannon and Seely boys. Jim was an uncle to the Cannon kids. The two families are still close.
